Class description: Musikgarten is an educational program that helps infants, toddlers, and children develop a deep love of music and the ability to express it. In the class we sing songs, play instruments, and practice musical skills including rhythm, tonal sequences, patterns, dynamics, and more! This is a Companion & Me class, bringing the family together in an exciting musical experience. Each student receives home materials to reinforce lessons and involves the whole family in the fun.

Parent/Guardian participation: Parents/Guardians get to participate in the class with their student. This class is a fun bonding experience as well as educational, so the Parent/Guardian plays a role in the fun! Each family will receive a music kit to continue the music making at home.

Class size: This class caps at 4 families, giving each student personalized attention. Students 15 months to 3.5 years old are welcome!

 

Class length: Classes meet one time each week for 30 minutes.

 

Calendar: The holiday schedule follows the Lebanon Community School Corporation’s schedule and weather closings. The Winter/Spring 2023 Class is held January 17th – April 18th (NO class Feb. 21st and Mar. 28th). Make-up Day is April 25th in the case we need to cancel class due to weather or teacher sick/emergency absence.

Tuition plans: Classes are offered in 12-week sessions each semester. Semester Fees are based on a total of 12 classes per semester plus a $35 Class Starter Kit fee (see next section below). Tuition can be paid by cash, check, or credit card (in-person or online, subject to transaction fee). A non-refundable deposit of $50 is due at sign-up to reserve your spot and will be applied toward your first tuition payment. Semester Fee Payments can follow either option:

• Monthly by the first of each month ($80 Jan 17th, $45 Feb 1st, $45 Mar 1st, and $45 Apr 1st)

• In Full for the Semester ($215 due Jan 17th)

 

Supplies: Each student will need to purchase the Class Starter Kit which includes their own copies of the Musikgarten Parent Book (36p), CD and digital code, and 2 Pair Rhythm Sticks!

 

Make-Ups. NO make-up classes/credits will be given if a student misses a group class. If a student is sick or will not be able to make the class in-person, they are still able to attend via Zoom (please inform the teacher ASAP so computer can be set-up!). If class is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we will make-up the class session on our make-up day at the end of the semester.
